Dance, Lanvin, Dance

Lanvin's Fall 2011 Ad Campaign had been making the rounds online. Featuring top models Karen Elson and Raquel Zimmermann for women, while Lowell Tautchin and Milo Spijkers fronts the menswear. It features said models in similar poses, er, dance poses.

I love the dynamism of the photos taken by Steven Meisel. See the rest of the photos below.

There is a certain charm in these photos, which I love. It makes you want to dance with them. I expecially adore Karen Elson, who seems to be really having fun.

Anyway, there is also a video from the shoot and it features Lanvin's creative head, Alber Elbaz in it. Amazing!

Though the song is really annoying, it still looks fun.

ADR in The Edge of Glory

Lady Gaga's "The Edge of Glory" had been running through my head since I have heard it last week from a bus driver's radio nonetheless. I mean, this song had been in the airwaves since it came out last May but I recently fell in love with it again last weekend.

Due to it's popularity, we have seen everyone from Joe Jonas to your neighbor knows it.

Found a video onlice with, Fashion's Lady Gaga, Anna dello Russo dancing and lip-synching to the same song. Awesome! This woman couldn't do nothing wrong.

The video seems to be shot in her apartment with the lavish mural behind her. Enjoy!

Oh Land!

I have recently discovered, through YouTube of course, a video from Oh Land.

Say what, I mean who?

Nanna Oland Fabricius, a danish singer-songwriter born through musically inclined parents. (Dad is an organist, Mom is an opera singer, nonetheless). There is a lot more information out there about her and her music so go ahead and google! LOL.

Anyway, here is the video entitled White Nights. Enjoy!

Good, right? I told you so!

I love the whole concept and the slight folksy sound, too!

Get Ready for Glee

Glee will return to our TV sets this September and I am as exited as a kid on Christmas day or on his birthday or any occascion which requires people giving you presents! Though I am not sure of I'll be able to watch it 'cause they don't offer them on free TV here in Singapore (sucks for me!), I still can't wait.

From what I hear and read, a lot of changes are coming in McKinley's Glee Club. I've heard tons of rumors and what I can tell you is that Chord Overstreet, who plays trouty-mouthed Sam Evans won't be returning for Season 3. He is set to be focusing on his solo career. Too bad, I feel like he is, er, was a great addition to the New Directions.

Off to more news, Lea Michele (Rachel Berry), Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson) and Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel) will be graduating this season from McKinley. But fret not, that does not mean they will be getting off the show soon.

And here are some photos to satisfy our cravings for Glee.

Rachel Berry is back! Our little diva is back in her cute dresses and knee high socks ready for stardom!

Oh-uh! Looks like our queen bee is going to the dark side, I mean, c'mon! Goth much!
Is she friends with Jenna Ushkowitz' Tina now?!?

Note: Behind her is Naya Rivera (Santana Lopez) who might be the next cheerio captain, er, co-captain.

And here Chris Colfer, still looking dapper! Nice tie, kiddo!

Oh, and btw, Darren Criss (Blaine) might transfer to McKinley, soon.. He is a regular cast now anyway.

Plus Kevin McHale (Artie Abrams), who can walk in real life, looking amazing in pleated pants! LOL!

Hope these photos gave you some excitement for season 3, if not, I dunno what will. Maybe a video, perhaps?

You are most welcome!

Savage Beauty: The Video

Learn more about Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty on view at the Met May 4--July 31, 2011: http://blog.metmuseum.org/alexandermcqueen/

The exhibition, organized by The Costume Institute, celebrates the late Alexander McQueen's extraordinary contributions to fashion. From his Central Saint Martins postgraduate collection of 1992 to his final runway presentation, which took place after his death in February 2010, Mr. McQueen challenged and expanded the understanding of fashion beyond utility to a conceptual expression of culture, politics, and identity. His iconic designs constitute the work of an artist whose medium of expression was fashion. The exhibition will feature approximately one hundred ensembles and seventy accessories from Mr. McQueen's prolific nineteen-year career. Drawn primarily from the Alexander McQueen Archive in London, with some pieces from the Givenchy Archive in Paris as well as private collections, signature designs including the "bumster" trouser, the kimono jacket, and the three-point "origami" frock coat will be on view. McQueen's fashions often referenced the exaggerated silhouettes of the 1860s, 1880s, 1890s, and 1950s, but his technical ingenuity always imbued his designs with an innovative sensibility that kept him at the vanguard.
