Actually Back Again Part Zoo!

This is another post with pictures from my SG trip. One of the highlights of this trip would probably be the trip to Singapore Zoo. Surprisingly, the Zoo is just a short taxi ride from my brother's house so finding it wasn't hard. It was my brother's birthday that day and I was singing in my head. What song?
Happy birthday to you You belong to the Zoo...

I forgot the latter part of the song. Anyway, we got to see a ton of animals! (Of course, as if I wasn't expecting that!!!) We saw different kinds of monkeys, elephants!, deers, zebras, giraffes, white tigers, gnus,,, you know I can go on and on but I'll post pictures instead.

I was wearing a yellow Giordano shirt, others bought at Manila on that trip

boat ride with Iel in matching (more like complementing) colors!

Iel is wearing a lime green Zara top, denim shorts from Zara, and red Crocs sandals/shoes

we saw the proboscis monkey, which has a very noticeable nose.
one zoo guests called this the Pinocchio of monkeys

I didn't have pictures because I was too afraid to come closer their terrariums

although it is advised not to have these as pets because they are wild cats

Back Again

I'm back! Back here in the Philippines and also back to work. I actually am excited to go back to work that I came an hour early. (no Monday sickness for now). While I am deleting emails from two weeks ago and reading blogposts from blogs I follow, I wanted to write before June ends.

I still need to upload photos on Facebook later, but I wanted to start here.

Below are few photos taken on my SG trip.

photo taken at Raffles City Mall

my precious niece, Ashrie Jed and me having a fun moment

and she is one fierce fashionista... black tank top and gold mary jane shoes from Zara, lime green shorts from Fox, necklace is from Gingersnaps, the white tank underneath is from her closet (I forgot where she got it)

with her mom and dad (my brother)

in complementing colors: Iel, as we would fondly call her, in a white Zara top and pink Fox shorts while I wore my purple Giordano shirt and gray harem shorts bought in Manila

More photos tomorrow: connections a tad slow today

End Love

No, I am not against relationships nor am I anti-love. The title comes from OK Go's latest video. "End Love" is off their album Of The Blue Colour of the Sky which is available on iTunes (or not, in any case you can get it from their website here).

I had done a post about their video before here on my blog. The video then rotated (almost literally) on a Rube Goldberg Machine. Fast forward today, June 16 on my side of the planet, they have a brand spanking new video. Which by the way you can download for FREE! Details on that here.

Enough talking so here it is. It has everything I enjoy, stop motion, slow motion, flash mob plus a duck!!! Fun times! (duck seems to remind me of this guy, too...)

I also found another video for This Too Shall Pass which as it turns out is the original video. (The Rube Goldberg version was released after two months). Anyway, check it out below.

Soon to be MIA for some RnR...

Glee - Season Finale Performance

Found this on Youtube and thought I have to need to share this. This is New Direction's Performance in the 2010 Midwest Show Choir Championship on Glee! Too bad they didn't even place (Oooops! spoiler...).

The songs featured in this "Epic" Journey medley (as Cory Monteith has said) are Faithfully, a duet with Finchel (Finn and Rachel), a mash-up of Any Way You Want It and Lovin' Touchin' Squezin, and of course Don't Stop Believin' which was 10 times better than their early version.

But wait, there's more!

^^This is Mr.Schue and Puck singing Over the Rainbow with a ukelele!

Enjoy!

note: photos are screen captures from Youtube.

AdR on Dressing Up

One of the blogs that I read is annadellorusso.com. She is the Fashion Director of Vogue Nippon but born in Italy. She always exudes elegance and glamour everywhere she goes. Below are 10 quotes of style and fashion that Anna shared last June 6.

1) If there is harmony between ITSELF
and his own BODY, a STYLE will born.

2) When you don't feel to dress
means that you are depressed.
You need a FASHION SHOWER.

3) If you like to be relaxed, you will
never get the LOOK.
Fashion is always UNCOMFORTABLE!

4) NO matter the size of your body!
FASHION to flatter every figure
(VOGUE US April 2010)

5) Wear just NIGHT-CLOTHES
in daytime.
It is UNEXPECTED!

6) Color me! ACCESSORIZE me!
shock me!

7) FASHION is such stuff as
DREAMS are made on...

8) Fashion is a MUSE,
you must seduce her.

9) Shall we dance? take your MUSE
to dance, fashion loves music.

10) So between FASHION and STYLE?
Absolutely FASHION... is less
pretentious, is authentic.
FASHION is declaration of own freedom.

I especially loved number two and six. Here is a video of her dressing up for Convivio.

Update Part Deux

I just wanted to share a couple of things.

1: Glee's season one is done

2: I will be going to a little vacation by next week

I am almost at a lost of words for Glee's season one finale fittingly titled "Journey to Regionals" and I don't want to give out spoilers. It made me cry, a lot, thinking of all the joys and troubles they had struggled with during the past 21 episodes (excluding the finale) and also, that we have to wait for 3 months for their season 2.

I will miss Sue's crazy banters and Brittany's funny one-liners.

photo taken November 2007

I will be visiting my brother and his family in Singapore this month just in time for his birthday! And will have very minimal internet access. Twitter and Facebook updates are the most I can do there. But rest assured that I will have subjects to blog about when I return. (before the end of this month) Anyway, I haven't packed anything for this trip. This is sooo not myself! I will have to do some cram packing and a little shopping for Filipino products for my brother.

Take care everyone!

edit: Forgot to mention Father's day is also coming up! Happy Father's Day to my Dad and my Brother and to all fathers out there.

Journey to Regionals

Glee's season one finale will air tomorrow(that is if you're reading this as I post it. ha!), June 8 for those in the US, and June 9 for the rest of us here in Manila. I am beyond excited, I have been a fan of Glee, a Gleek as some would say, and watched the show since its first episode. (btw, I was a member of the Glee club in high school. Although we are more of a choir than a glee club).

Fox network had agreed to show a sneak peek of New Direction's performance on Regionals and here is the video. This features Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) and Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson) singing to Faithfully.

All songs they will be singing on their Regional Battle is from an American rock band called Journey, hence "Journey to Regionals". Journey was formed in 1973 with former members of Santana. The band has gone through several phases, but its strongest commercial success came in the late 1970s to the early 1980s. Their latest vocalist , Arnel Pineda, a Filipino, was hired in 2006 when Neal Schon saw him on Youtube singing Journey Songs.

The aforementioned songs featured on Glee's finale episode are as follows: "Faithfully", a mash-up of "Any Way You Want It" and "Lovin', Touchin', Squezin'" and of course, "Don't Stop Believin'". I really hope New Directions wins the Regional Title. If not, oh well... They still have the second season and even a third.

Meet Heather Morris

Who is she? She plays Brittany, the funniest character in Glee!!!

Sorry, slow week today. I can't think of anything to blog so here are two (make that three) videos.

The first one is from Fox Network finally letting us know who Heather really is.

This next video was made by a fan. This features Brittany's Best Moments...

This last video is from the American Music Awards. Heather/Brittany is the blond girl dancing beside Beyonce.
