Thanks to the guys over at StyleBible.ph, we now get the Trend Report for next year's Spring/Summer. It is almost the same as every other designer worldwide but done the Filipino way. For more information, check out this link.
Let's start with Trend number 1: 50's full skirt. As designers from Paris and everywhere else would agree, curves are back! And the perfect way to showcase the waist is by wearing a full skirt. Usually cinched at the waist by a belt, the skirt flows up to the knee to create a flattering shape for most women.
Chris Diaz's take on a full skirt is cinched with a pretty bow leather belt.
Lyle Ibanez for ESAC does a utilitarian take on the trend.
Bringht colors are perfect for Spring and Filipino designers upped the trend with Acid brights. Neon colors rule the runway in greens and yellows.
Don Protacio's looks sports acid brights which were tamed with black piping.
Lyle Ibanez' take were dresses which sleeves extend into gloves, interesting no?
As trends come and go, the 80's trend had become such a hit. Likewise, the bodysuit which looks like a one-piece swimwear for the urban dweller is a trend for Spring 2011. I have seen some pique shirts on stores here in Manila extending into the bottoms. Tucked in pants, it looks perfect!

Borrowed from the Boys is trend number 4. The women wears the pants in the fashion relationship. Pants usually come in the wide-legged variety taking skinny pants out of the system.
Kate Torralba for Paperdolls does high-waist, wide-legged khaki pants.
Pinstripe goodness arrives from Ronaldo Arnaldo.
Spring is the perfect time for mixing colors. Color Blocking is trend number 5. Primary and secondary colors are paired together for a harmonious look. Some designers were brave enough to pile on bright colors in a single look.
Cesar Gaupo's take mixes jewel tones and turquoise.
Yellow and red were paired together on this Lizanne Cua's look.
Soft flowy skirts were stretched to greater lengths for Spring. I think most designers had even done this trend for fall. For Spring, chiffon is usually the fabric of choice. Floor-grazing, floral-printed or solid colors, gave a certain Bohemian vibe to the look.
A soft, golden gown is Jun Escario's take on the trend.
Noel Crisostomo's look was a floral printed maxi skirt paired with stripe top.
The jumpsuit falls, more like springs into the season. There were tailored pieces and soft harem pieces and it is up to you to choose which one you'd want to try.
Harem shapes were also a trend for next year just as Lyle Ibanez had shown on this look.

Skin is definitely in this Summer and if you're willing to show them, the skin-baring sheer trend is for you. Sheer fabrics were used predominantly to add layers to a bandeau top and bottoms.
Gerry Katigbak's sheer top were strewn with polka dots to match the bandeau top and shorts.
Oxygen's look is a minimalist take on sheer.
Trend number something... I lost count sorry!.. is sugar flowers. These are sweet muted floral prints on dresses and the like.
June Pugat's look is a floral maxi gown with a cape.
Purple flower printed farbric was used on it.
Fabric flowers were sewn into the skirt in this Joel Escober look.
Tinsel town is another trend, which takes sparkles and sequins into the summer. Designers placed sequins in tops, bottoms, and on your face on dresses.
Jonti Martinez puts sheen and shine together in this cocktail dress.
For Summer days, Noel Crisostomo incorporated sequins into a top for a breezy bohemian look.
Who says drapes are only for curtains? Designers had come up with Urban Drapery which makes an edgy look into femininity.
Bo Parcon added drapes into his look adding edge.
Jerome Salaya Ang adds drapery into a sweet little white dress.
